THAI'S CHARACTERISTICS.

         Foreigners' opinions on typical characteristics of Thai people may vary, depending on their first impression on the people they know. However, many of the visitors consider Thai people to be generally friendly and kind. The nickname "Land of Smile" may have been given on the basis of this attitude. Other people from other lands may regard Thai people as strictly religious and generous because they usually see Thai people gathering in the temple to offer food to the monks and attend their Dhama preaching. Besides, Thai people may be viewed as proud and patriotic people, as they seem to take pride in their nation. Some visitors may consider the Thais to be shy and inarticulate, as they do not seem to express their opinion. Many people  find Thai people very considerate since they seem to care about other people,s feeling. Finally, many Thai people are said to be very talented and artistic. Their talents and artistic skills are often shown in numerous superb handicrafts and splendid products of their craftsmanship that can be found throughout the nation. No matter what kind of people the Thais are considered to be, the most important thing is how they perceive themselves and how willing they are to maintain the good images they have always had to the eyes of the rest of the world.
